How to measure Roller Shades

1. Decide Inside or Outside Mount
- Inside Mount: Shade fits inside the window frame for a clean look.
- Outside Mount: Shade covers the frame and extends beyond for more light control and coverage.
2. Measuring for Inside Mount
- Width: Measure the inside width of the window frame at the top, middle, and bottom. Record the narrowest measurement.
- Height: Measure from the top of the inside frame to the sill at the left, center, and right. Record the longest measurement.
- Depth: Check the frame depth to ensure it meets the manufacturer’s minimum requirement.

3. Measuring for Outside Mount
- Width: Measure the width of the area you want to cover. Add at least 2–3 inches (5–7.5 cm) on each side for better light control and privacy.
- Height: Measure from where you want the top of the shade to begin down to the desired length. Add extra inches above the frame if you want to mount higher.
4. Double-Check Measurements
- Always round to the nearest 1/8 inch (0.3 cm).
- Never assume all windows are the same size—measure each one.
